Step 1. What this is

Bright Steps is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a way for sites to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites. We are also a small participant in other affiliate programs from time to time.

Step 2. What it means for you

If you click an affiliate link on Bright Steps and buy something, we may earn a small commission.
The price you pay is exactly the same. Amazon (or the merchant) pays us, not you.
You are never required to buy anything to use Bright Steps.

Step 3. How we pick products

We only link to tools we have used as parents or recommend as a Special Ed teacher.
We choose items that match the moments parents tell us are hardest: meltdowns, bedtime, transitions, focus, sensory needs.
We never accept payment to feature a product. Brands cannot pay to appear in our tool lists.

Step 4. How we label affiliate links

Every affiliate link on Bright Steps:

Opens in a new tab.
Uses rel="sponsored noopener nofollow" as required by the FTC and search engines.
Shows a short disclosure near the link, such as “As an Amazon Associate, Bright Steps earns from qualifying purchases — at no extra cost to you.”

Step 5. Not medical or therapy advice

Recommended tools are parent-tested ideas, not treatment. Bright Steps provides parent support and educational planning tools only and does not replace professional educational, medical, or legal advice. Always check with your child's care team before introducing new sensory or behavior tools, especially if your child has allergies, choking risks, or specific safety needs.
